In reality, pretty much all repairs, both functional and cosmetic, that we do these days are bonded. Bonding refers to a process of a chemical bond between the restoration and the tooth.
The strength of bonding is quite high, but the procedure is quite technique sensitive – it requires great care on the part of the operator to ensure the best stick, that will last.
Tooth coloured fillings in teeth are all bonded. Crowns & Veneers are bonded. Ceramics and composite resins are all bonded.
